Merry Christmas – Performance Improvement in 2015
Merry Christmas from Will It Make The Boat Go Faster?
On behalf of the growing team here at Will It Make The Boat Go Faster? we’d like to wish you a very happy Christmas and a prosperous New Year. Ben and Tom are coming to the end of their second year in business together and in that time they’ve met and worked with a huge variety of individuals, teams and organisations from Brighton to Bangkok and from Slough to Sydney. We’ve helped clients clarify their direction; build high performing teams; engage their employees and more.
We’d like to say thank you to each and every one of our clients for entrusting us to work with you and your teams. We really appreciate it and we’re looking forward to working with you again in 2015.
Secondly, we’d like to reflect on what we’ve seen and what we’ve learnt this year with our clients. One highlight has been our continued excitement over the power of setting ambitious, stretching clear goals, we call them Crazy goals, for your business or for your teams. Everyone in business is incredibly busy these days whether responding to clients, cutting costs, developing new technologies. There’s no shortage of things to do, but what a carefully created Crazy goal does is it gets everyone to focus, not on what’s in front of them every day but on the activities, behaviours and habits that will help them make their boat go faster. Then they can leave the rest to others; leave them until later or even not do them at all.
Take time over Christmas to consider your personal ambitions, your ambitions for your team and your business. Do you have a clear Crazy goal that inspires and excites you and your team. Will it make your boat go faster in 2015? If not we’d love to help.
Performance Improvement for 2015
We’ll soon be giving you details of our digital content, which means you can introduce our content in different areas of your business, in different ways at times to suit you and your teams. We’ll also be running a new series of Crazy goal workshops in 2015. We’ve started to develop our international footprint with partners in Australia and Portugal who support our work on performance improvement in those countries.
We’re sure you’ve got no shortage of actions and activities for 2015 but we hope you take the chance to have a break, recharge your batteries and have a very happy Christmas.
With best wishes from us all at Will It Make The Boat Go Faster?
